Recently,National Gallery of Scotland also known as the NGS made an important discovery when conducting a X ray scanning of one of the late famous Netherlands painting master Vincent Van Gogh's painting named the Farmer Image that behind the canvas was a self-portrait of the painter himself.

According to the National Gallery of Scotland ,the self－portrait of the painter himself that had slept for more than one centrury behind the canvas.

Vincent Van Gogh had been known for using canvas repeatedly and often produced works on the canvas back to save money at that time.

This discovery made when the National Gallery of Scotland was preparing an art exhibition with the theme titled A Taste For Impressionism&Modern French Art From Millet To Matisse.
